Headworx - System Availability

High system availability can be only achieved if the sum of all possible interference is reduced to a minimum. The system availability can be affected by a variety of negative factors listed below:

  • product and production conditions
  • operation
  • operating staff
  • general condition of the plant
  • mechanics
  • electrical

Based on our years of experience with industrial combustion, we learned that often the sum of diverse nothings plant availability significantly reduced. Seemingly unimportant, it has always been so, it is a design flaw of the system, a later modification, or non-optimal design and implementation.

All these minimizes the availability.

Typical examples are:

  • did not consider system changes
  • improper wiring and grounding
  • unstable media supply (eg gas, combustion air)
  • dirty filters, etc. (not sufficient maintained plant)
  • condensate in sense lines and components
  • thermal load of components
  • obsolete or defective components

During the processing of a wide variety of jobs from different branches, we have been able to increase the availability of systems clearly, improving the product quality while reducing the rejection rate.

We are happy to help you with these issues.
